Please join us in learning to meditate, the antidote to a world gone mad, where time seems to be moving faster every week, and in which we know we can find a bright and beautiful life.

Remember, what you focus on you become, and in meditation we focus on the best of all things—enlightenment.

In each class we will learn several meditation techniques, and have a chance to practice. All classes include periods of meditation practice.

CLASS DESCRIPTION and DATES:

Wednesday Feb 1    How to Meditate    (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
Meditation serves as the core technique for our practice. We will learn what meditation is, how to meditate, and then practice several techniques, including yantra meditation and meditation to music. Instructor: Reed.

Wednesday Feb 8    Emotions   (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
Let's say goodbye to emotional storms. Above the storms in our lives are worlds of radiant awareness. And yet, when we meditate all kinds of emotions appear. When we walk down the street all kinds of emotions appear. This class discusses why this happens and what we need to do (or not do) for it. Instructor: Reed.

Wednesday Feb 15    Karma   (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
Karma is who we are, it is the sum-total of our awareness field at any one moment. How we feel each day is determined by our karma. And it changes as we think thoughts, feel emotions, interact with people, make decisions. Learning how to change our karma is how we learn to change ourselves. Instructor: Reed.

Wednesday Feb 22    Detox   (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
We spend time detoxing our bodies, but do we do the same for our minds? Planet Earth is just as toxic for our minds as our bodies, so it is critical to clear the bad energy from our lives and minds. This class discusses what this means and how to do it. Result? You'll feel better. Instructor: Reed.

Wednesday Feb 29    Energy   (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
Where do you get your energy from?  Where do you tend to lose energy?  How can we get more? Instructor: Marsha.

Wednesday March 7    Mindfulness   (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
Meditation and mindfulness go hand in hand.  What we think about and where we put our minds impacts our energy levels and our meditation practice. Instructor: Marsha.

Wednesday March 14   Balance    (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
Balance is wisdom.  Balance is the ability to be happy in the midst of the most chaotic or even boring or transient circumstances of any type. Instructor: Marsha.

Wednesday March 21    Meditation Intensive    (7pm—8pm, 1 hour)
More meditation, more discussion on what meditation is, and how to integrate that into a regular practice in your life. Instructor: Marsha.
